That is pretty sad. Oklahoma is also the most Republican state in the nation.
2 :
Government schools at work. You think kids have gotten smarter since the Worthless One Jimmy Carter instituted the Department of Education? Not! Leftist indoctrination.
3 :
It says a lot about public education in this country, none of it good. Perhaps history should be a more important subject than sex-ed.
4 :
Liberal social agenda. If they actually spent time teaching history, students would vote Republican!
5 :
Exactly what Liberals want in public education. More dumbies to register to vote.
6 :

I feel disappointed, how can kids from other countries must learn about the history of the United States of America in great detail, and be tested and expected to pass, and our own educational system be so dismissive of the importance of having well educated children. Well educated children=better, more responsible adults. I wouldn't rest all the blame on our educational system, we as parents should play an active part in our son's and daughter's education.

This is very sad. I hope a lot of people that claim that public schools is a socialist program and we should accept health care will read this and realize how bad the government does in running things. I see ignorance on here all the time. It makes me scared for my country. I see people who do not know what type of government we have and no very little to nothing about history. I see people asking what is wrong with socialism, people claiming that capitalism is the problem, and so on. Now I know why they think this way. They learned absolutely nothing in 12 years of public education.

My thoughts? I see that 75% of the students in Oklahoma got left behind. Another Bush program that fell flat on its @$$. If that isn't screaming that we need more money into our education system, as well as higher standards to pass a grade and into the next, I don't know what is.

I live in Oklahoma and was watching the local news when this was brought to my attention. I was SHOCKED, APPALLED, and EMBARRESED to say the least. I mean how is that possible. I bet they never give that test again.
