It depends on the department. Some police departments only require applicants to have a high school diploma or ged. Some police departments require applicants to have a certain amount of college credits (30 or 60 for example) or a 2 year degree. Some police departments require applicants to have a 4 year degree. Check with the police departments that you are interested in working for. If you want to become a police officer, you should get a 4 year degree. Many of the departments that don't require applicants to have a degree prefer them to. Having a degree can help you get hired. Some departments pay their officers more if they have a degree. The Oklahoma City-based think tank enlisted national research firm, Strategic Vision, to access students' basic civic knowledge. "They're questions taken from the actual exam that you have to take to become a U.S. citizen," Dutcher said. A thousand students were given 10 questions drawn from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services item bank. Candidates for U.S. citizenship must answer six questions correctly in order to become citizens. This isn't a matter of political ideology, this is a matter of having a basic understanding of your government, and those figures, if accurate, are appalling. Every high school student should know the answer to all of those questions. Have our school districts become that lax on education that we have students who can't answer those questions? They are easy questions. If they can't teach something that easy, how badly are they doing in the areas of reading, writing, science, and math?

Is there anyone in the Oklahoma City area who home schools their own children and would be willing to home school my two girls ages 12 and 11 grades 5 and 6? I would pay for their supplies and books and lunches etc.

I went to UCO in Edmond and it was fairly cheap, as far as colleges go...I know that Rose State has one of the cheapest tuitions in the state if you are looking for a junior college and Oklahoma City Community College is pretty cheap too...I took some online courses there.

Should I got to Oklahoma or wait for a better offer mean while go to community college to run track and get better and go to a D1 school that is to my likings that will give a full scholarship.. I dont even know if Oklahoma city is willing to give me a full scholarship but if they are should I go

NAIA is basically D-II NCAA. so its not necessarily bad to run for them. getting a D1 scholarship however is very difficult. state runners generally get those scholarships. if you want to wait for an offer than you can wait but keep them in your sights just incase. another thing you can do is contact the coach to the university you want to go to. build a relationship with the coach and go from there
