Is there any Online Schooling in Oklahoma city?
My friend dropped out of Highschool last year and he's now 17 and wanting to go back but school board sent him to an alternative school where you can build up enough credits to go back to highschool.They sent him to a MetroTech community college and he never got a call back.Is there any form of Online Schooling where he can finish highschool?

Absolutely, He should look for the Digital Learning Commons, Odyseyware, Utah Schools online or Oregon State online learning. The first one is a broker for several online High School and college courses that can be taken online. All are acredited so the credits would transfer to any high school and are accepted by by all major trade schools, colleges and universities when he wants to apply there.

He needs to call the place again; there could have been some mix up, he didn't fill his phone number in correctly, it didn't get typed into the database correctly... You don't just give up because a school didn't call back. That's kind of like calling a garage to find out the status of your vehicle and then looking to buy another car because they don't call back! Now, online schooling may still be preferable for him, but he should find out what is going on with MetroTech regardless. Yeah, there are a few. I use Penn Foster High School. It's a distance learning school. They send you your books in the mail and you complete them. Penn Foster is a private school, so it costs money. It's $900, but it's cheaper if you send them your transcripts. Since your friend dropped out, it is very unlikely that they will allow them back into the school system. Going to a community college to earn enough credits to go back to highschool will only slow your friend down even more. Distance learning is the way to go.

He needs to go up to Metrotech and talk to a person, instead of waiting for a phonecall. Part of homeschooling is being proactive, and colleges especially aren't going to cater to people. I've had some friends go through metrotech, it's a good deal for getting a program. However, he probably does not want to do a GED program, if he'd get his parents to register him as a homeschooler, there are a TON of homeschooling groups in OKC.

I am looking through college profiles, and I need personal opinions over OCU.

Like any University, it depends on your major. I have a BS in Science and a BA in Liberal Arts from OCU, and completed 24 hours of Masters work in Education. I love the school. If you are a business major, or a criminal justice major, or a performing arts/dance major, or an education major...I would recommend it over any other University. The class size is small, the professors are accessible, and the campus is safe, in spite of being located in midtown OKC. At least go take a campus tour, and see if you love it as much as I did.

Im planning on making a transfer to Oklahoma city i was just wondering.. I'll choose best answer.. And i dont mean the SPRING BREAK.. i mean next year for school.. what month and day I asked 2 other other questions about this and they werent the answer i was expecting.. So im not talking about the spring break.. And Thank you for the Right Answers.. And i need to know do they wear uniforms also i forgot to mention.. and what schools wear uniforms.. Middle schools Or High schools? and please exuse my spelling on top.. Stat is actually suppose to be START :)

I am a Bass alumni...went there for six weeks...and caught one THIS BIG.

nope, but check out bass institute of technology(i think thats right), just google bit and hollywood. that instructor is bad!!!!!! Its part of musicians institute of technology and its like a hands on cherry bomb for musicians. I havent seen any literature for them since '88 but they had the great ones coming in off the streets to teach and learn. for serious musicians if its still around, is awesome(networking?)

In Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Is it any good? What do they specialize in? Can anyone who has gone there tell me anything about it? I love photography and if things work out I would love to somehow turn it into a career?

Hi Soul! I am going to attempt to offer a bit of advice in this area but quite honestly; I do not know about the Oklahoma School of Photography. My thoughts to you centers around the fact that there are a number of quality schools that teach photography. I personally have gone to several to improve my own methods of photography as well as to learn new techniques taught by those with more advanced experience than I. You can find a number of schools in your area and many online. Remember that in the past decade, 'Digital' has advanced, taking over the stage of 35mm photography. There are so many cameras out there now that take advantages of this and allows you newer perspective in the art of photography. Given this, you may be better served to discover as much as possible about the newer digital cameras while trying to improve upon your skills as a photographer. The art and technique of photo shooting remains basically the same except you have higher enhancement of the photos that you take with digital as opposed to 35mm. I have discovered this recently due to a new digital that I acquired from a friend. It is a rather expensive model that I picked up in a trade with him and I am ever so happy in acquiring it. It has features that I never dreamed of and by going to a web site offered by the manufacturer and also by inquiring through their online tech support; I was able to distinguish and learn how to use these features to my great advantages. Upon showing my newest photos, my friend regrets not keeping the camera because he did not understand completely how to operate and use its functions to their fullest advantages. What this is telling you is that the manufacturer of your camera(s) should also have a website and tech support. Use them to the greatest extent possible.;then you may better be served to learn and improve yourself in areas that you feel lacking. I love nature and photographing natural scenes as well as manmade scenery. Animals and natural scenery compse the bulk of my photography. I am a certified Naui and Padi diver and also love underwater photography. There are so many areas that you may enter into and learn the tricks of the trade so-to-speak; that it is a rewarding lifetime experience. I hope that this may assist you and what ever you do, enjoy your photography experiences. They will remain with you throughout your entire life!

I am a single white female, going to be attending school in Oklahoma City and want to know where the best areas of town are. I will be renting an apartment and want to feel safe. Any suggestions would be great!

I just moved here in July. I was told the N and NW parts of town are the best and safest. I moved to Gables at Westlake apartments and so far I think it's great. My coworker moved to Quail Landing apartments, and those are nice too. Both are definitely not the least expensive, though.
